How the inbox opens and how threads are grouped.

Default view

The list view groups by subject. The Chat view groups by everyone on the From and Cc lines, and shows email replies with reply references.

Mark a conversation read when it opens Turn this off if you prefer to mark mail read yourself. Show a note when people are added to a conversation A line appears in the Chat view when a reply copies in someone new.

Privacy

Message bodies are opened in isolation. These controls decide what they are allowed to fetch.

Block remote images until I load them Loading an image tells the sender you opened the message. When you do load one, it is fetched through this server so your address is not exposed. Always load images from people in my contacts Applies only to senders you have written to.
